Kizzo JUST OPENED in the former StepChld space in the heart of Northeast, Mpls! The official Grand opening was this past weekend 9/13/25 at 10am for brunch. They serve brunch on the weekends 10-2, they’re open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 5pm for dinner service! Their In-house made Cinnamon Rolls @roll.ritual with rotating flavors weekly are some of the BEST I’ve ever had & they are only available right now Saturday/Sunday for brunch 10am-2p! Don’t worry the Step Chld cooper burger 🍔 & magic wings/ some of the same menu items can still be found @kizzorestaurant! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

The space formerly known as StepChld is now Kizzo, a nod to owner Kamal Mohamed’s childhood nickname. The restaurant will retain some echoes of Stepchld, but in a more casual, counter-service environment that doubles as a sports bar on big game days. The hope is to create a neighborhood-friendly space that falls somewhere in between hole-in-the-wall dives and high-end eateries. I look forward to checking out their dinner and trying more cocktails! 🤭🌈🍩👯‍♀️
