I visited on a public holiday during Silver Week. I arrived around 12:30 and was able to enter without any wait. This time, I enjoyed the lunch soba kaiseki for JPY 4,840.1. Soba Miso 2. Soba Flour Tororo 3. Fried Soba Cake 4. Soba Sushi 5. Hanamaki Soba 6. Soba Manju The Soba Flour Tororo was surprisingly reminiscent of tororo, even though they mentioned it didn't use yam. The broth was light and had a gentle flavor. The Fried Soba Cake was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It was my favorite dish from this course! The Soba Sushi included two types: a nori roll with plum and shiso, and a wasabi and soba yuba roll. The nori roll had a refreshing taste with a strong hint of plum acidity. The wasabi and soba yuba roll was served with a special sauce, and as a fan of yuba, I found it irresistible! The Hanamaki Soba was a very simple dish of soba topped with nori and wasabi. They intentionally kept it simple to highlight the aroma of the nori and the flavor of the soba itself. Without any unnecessary elements, I could truly enjoy each flavor. The Soba Manju was quite subtly sweet. Personally, I might have preferred it to be a bit sweeter… haha. The owner and staff had a unique atmosphere. At first, I felt a bit nervous, but when I asked questions, they kindly explained everything, and I could sense their dedication and seriousness about soba. The service was warm and memorable. The lunch soba kaiseki had a light overall volume, making it easy for those with smaller appetites to enjoy. If you have a hearty appetite, you could plan to visit another restaurant before or after this one.It was an interesting course for soba lovers, allowing us to enjoy soba in various forms. It was a great meal!
