The decline in sales during summer is said to be the reason why Hiraga Gennai established the Day of the Doyo Unagi.Unknowingly influenced by his PR, I find myself craving unagi every July when summer fatigue sets in.After a long time, I returned to Odawara to enjoy unagi at Tomoei.This is probably my fifth visit, having been brought here by friends on various occasions.I have many fond memories associated with this restaurant.Although the prices have increased quite a bit since my first visit, the joy and deliciousness of traveling from Tokyo just to eat their unagi remains.The fluffy unagi served in a traditional box, along with seasonal vegetables and unagi liver, is truly a delightful unaju.After each meal, I always take a moment to refresh myself nearby.This is one of my favorite restaurants.
