Located in the basement of The Met Breuer is the latest restaurant venture by business partners Thomas Carter and chef Ignacio Mattos. Flora Bar serves tapas style small plates influenced by Spanish, Mediterranean and Japanese flavors with an emphasis on fresh seafood. There is steak and lamb for the meat-lovers, an extensive wine selection, outdoor seating and they are also open for lunch. The adjacent Flora Coffee serves coffee, sandwiches and pastries.

Those of you familiar with Mattos’ plating style, know a single item is often arranged in circular format hiding the food underneath.
