The food experience at Maison Pic was excellent! There's a clear harmony of flavors and subtlety in each dish. Very well balanced and enjoyable. It was also great to see Chef working in the restaurant and walking by each table to greet guests.

Our French culinary tour continues at 3* Maison Pic in Valence (another family-run institution that was established back in 1889), where we stayed the night and had dinner and breakfast. This was a 3 hour drive south of Maison Troisgros in Roanne, which was our first stop. Entering the building felt like being in a museum, especially when walking pass an entire glass display of Michelin Guides dating back to 1900 and beautiful collections of historical artwork. Today, the restaurant is run by Chef Anne-Sophie Pic (3rd generation), who is the only female chef in France to hold 3 Michelin Stars since she earned them in 2007.
