Hands down one of the best sushi experiences ever - Sushi Sugita (日本橋蛎殻町 すぎた). This has been a long anticipated meal for years; really happy we finally got to try it! Sushi Sugita is currently #2 on Tabelog for sushi in all of Japan (behind Saito) with 9 counter seats. Every piece of sushi that Chef Takaaki Sugita crafts looks and feels like a work of art. He is a sushi shokunin. It’s almost too beautiful to eat off the plate. Watching him is like sitting through an opera performance. His Sabamaki is one of the best things we've ever eaten. We’ll have to wait until next April before we return, but it'll be worth the wait.
