A far journey out to 2* La Marine in Noirmoutier (western corner of France), proved to be one of the most exciting meals of the year! Chef Alexandre Couillon is very talented, producing dishes that are extremely refined and showcases the bountiful seafood from the coast.

Success certainly didn't come overnight; it is a result of Chef Couillon's persistence for nearly a decade in putting the small town of Noirmoutier on the map. What started out as a gastronomy wasteland after Couillon took over his parent's cafe years ago, La Marine is now a world-class restaurants where diners from around the globe come to eat. Every course was a hit! The flavors were well balanced and the cooking was executed perfectly. La Marine is truly a special restaurant that has not only hit its stride, but is also constantly improving. Highly recommend!
