Delicious dinner at Bodai in Katsuura, the town near Nachi Falls that specializes in tuna. It’s a cool spot right in front of the town’s train station that reminds me of an izakaya where jazz music plays over the stereo. The restaurant takes great pride in its dishes made with fresh local seafood and vegetables. The signature item is the chu-toro (medium fatty tuna) cutlet with the perfect balance of the textures of the crisp outer breading and the inner semi-rare meat.
