Our last meal in Svalbard at Gruvelageret, which was formerly the warehouse for a mining company. The location is at a historical part of the city, right beneath the Longyear Glacier. The interior represents 100 years of coal mining at Svalbard, and the kitchen focuses on Arctic cuisine. It was a 4-course tasting menu with the highlight being reindeer filet, which was excellent and has no hint of gameyness. A lovely way to end the first segment of our trip up to the North.
