I think we've found THE spot for Thai chicken rice (khao mun gai). It's at Je Aoun (ข้าวมันไก่เจ๊อ้วน), a local stand in the Chatuchak area of Bangkok. It was nearly perfect - moist, tender, and flavorful chicken; aromatic rice; sauce with a gingery kick; and hot piping chicken broth soup with chunks of chicken meat. We ordered 3 large plates including regular boiled chicken, fried chicken, and half & half combo along with a plate of mango sticky rice for dessert. It's what I call the most satisfying lunch ever.
