We rented a car upon landing in Munich and drove 1.5 hours to Residenz Heinz Winkler in Aschau (2 Michelin Stars and a 'Relais & Chateaux' property), where we had dinner and stayed the evening.

Chef Winkler is the inventor of “cuisine vitale”, which combines culinary delights with wellness. His creations, composed together with his son Alexander, are perfectly complemented by the exceptional treatments of the Vital Resort and invigorating walks through the fairytale-like Bavarian countryside. Overally, well-executed food and impeccable service.
