Shantan Ramen Chorori is a chūka style shop, serving a variety of noodle dishes and sides. Master Kaneo Moriyama-san trained at the legendary Kiraku in Shibuya before also working at Kaotan Ramen. Long known as a popular night hangout for locals. A 2nd branch previously existed in Meguro (1997-2021). 37 seats at the Ebisu flagship. Open since 1995. Less
Recommended bowl: Comfort ramen
This old-school Chūka style ramen shop is a known late night hang out spot, especially for the many regular customers who have been coming for years. The menu is a bit varied with shoyu, shio, miso and some other options, but most seem to gravitate towards the shoyu. The soup is a clear pork broth with roasted onions. Noodles supplied by Maruyama Seimen. Options for spicy negi, wontons, as well as a side menu that includes cha-han and gyoza. Open until 2:30 am.... More
