Yu Zhu Lan 玉芝蘭 Shanghai, 1 Michelin star — second location of the original two Michelin starred modern Sichuan restaurant in Chengdu. Kaiseki style, delicate flavors instead of the pungent spicy and sour flavors often associated with Sichuan cuisine. Most dishes are flavored with soup stock and sauces which take hours to prepare. Highlights include the extremely fine hand cut“golden thread” noodle, pan seared morel, and abalone Cantonese style sauce. •
