Pros: easy access from Tokyo; spacious, well appointed room with private semi-outdoor onsen; very good food and the best wine list I’ve seen so far in any onsen ryokan; great service
Cons: would have been nicer if the private onsen was on the balcony instead of inside the bathroom; western cuisine only (breakfast on the last day was a bit simple)
