Sichuan Cuisine Hashoku四川料理 巴蜀 x atirom Tokyo — a 3-day collaboration between the recently closed Bashu, a renowned Chinese restaurant in Fukuoka, and atirom Tokyo serving the legendary 40-course bite sized tasting menu. Had high expectations given the restaurant’s reputation, the meal was enjoyable and I appreciated the wide variety of dishes. The comparison of modern and traditional maps tofu was interesting. It’s certainly a good introduction to Chinese cuisine but for people who are familiar with the cuisine, not one single dish really stood out. •
