When traveling in Japan, you must try the pizza. As many would say, the best pizza in the world is perhaps in Tokyo with a number of restaurants serving up Neapolitan-style pizzas with a hint of Japanese flair. One of the best spots to try it is at Pizza Studio Tamaki, run by Chef Tsubasa Tamaki who previously worked at the much lauded Savoy. His pizza shop is a Michelin Bib Gourmand and has attracted many loyal followers.

Tamaki makes a Neapolitan-style-type pizza that's something entirely of his own. He carefully sources all the ingredients to ensure the highest quality. Tamaki directly throws salt into a 900°F oven. According to a CBS interview, he says this bakes directly into the dough, thus enhancing the flavor. We tried 4 of his pizza creations which were absolutely delicious! 🍕
