Why Smyth Chicago? ~ my fourth visit overall and second in 2021, however the first one was for the colab with @therestaurantmw , but my second visit in September (with amazing company of @max_vs_food & @rizqi ) showcased food flavors taken to a truly next level. Complex, layers, temperatures and textures where all present in a restaurant that has a very clear defined personality under the leadership of @chefjohnshields @luke.feltz @officialchrisgerber . The team showed up on game day and put ridiculously delicious food π₯ like this hot & cold caviar course with buckwheat & Koji fortified butter, walnuts & almonds. This was a 3 star πππmeal, hands down and no doubt, one of the best dishes/meals I had this year.
