Mes is better then it cost.
I have been there maybe six times, work-related, with friends and as here with my wife.
Unfortunalty only rewarded the Michelin Plate, since it quality wise it is better then quite a few bib gourmands in Copenhagen (and on level with the Michelin food I got in Budapest). Mads Rye Magnusson (who have worked at quite a few Michelin restaurant prior to opening Mes) , the owner and first chef, have a small empire of affordable fine-dinning restaurants in Copenhagen. They are okay, Miele, Salon 39, Pop up-26. But Mes is better, better then you think, better then it costs and better decorated then you would expect.
The food is not perfect, but its good, there are always some interesting combinations, and the bread is always perfect. Maybe a bit to fat, but the price is less then 500 kr for a five course meal!
Go, with you shoulders down and your expectations low, and you will end up having a wonderful time. Have gone, many times, and will go again.
