We were lucky enough to have one of the best date nights here at Mela. We enjoyed the 𝑺𝒏𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝑩𝒐𝒙 which came with Kawakawa wafer with smoked cashew, duck rillette with smoked yoghurt & leek ash, green pea sponge and 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒎𝒖𝒔𝒉𝒊 (savoury egg custard). They were all exquisite. The 𝑺𝒘𝒆𝒅𝒆 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒃𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒂 was so beautifully crafted. Our favorite has to be 𝑾𝒂𝒈𝒚𝒖 𝑫𝒆𝒄𝒌𝒍𝒆 which opened our eyes on what tender means. It just melted in our mouths. The 𝑳𝒂𝒎𝒃 𝑹𝒖𝒎𝒑 was also absolutely amazing, super tender as well. 𝑮𝒐𝒂𝒕 𝑴𝒊𝒍𝒌 𝑰𝒄𝒆 𝑪𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎 concluded our night in the best possible way, creamy ice cream paired with brown butter cake, perfectly splendid.
