Kuuk restaurant is an avantgarde restaurant situated in an old mansion in Merida where they use all parte of it in the restaurant. The lounge area is wittingly enough places in an old chapel. Such a beautiful setting that provides a stark contrast to the avant-garde food using lots of techniques in its creation
Goatcheese and corn is a combination that always works. At @kuukrestaurant the corn was extremely smoked which I thought gave a very nice twist and depth to the dish and you also just have to love the presentation
We continued with another dish where smoke was a central element. This time in the form of a small pumpkin that had been grilled completely black and sweet served with goat cheese snow made with liquid nitrogen off course. Great flavors and a very nice presentation as well
A dish drawing inspiration from the cenotes (freshwater caves) in the form of a fried fish and a refreshing juice. A technical@much simpler but delicious dish
