Just 10 km from Rovigo between fog and water channels, there is this elegant restaurant that proposes the dishes of the cuisine of the lower Po valley. Some dishes are a modern reinterpretation of typical dishes of the area, such as pumpkin tortelli with parmesan cream; others are ancient recipes of the traditional poor cuisine of farmers. One of these recipes is: Donkey stew with polenta. A dish that took me back to at least 50 years, when, as a child, we went with my family to visit my grandmother who cooked poor and very tasty dishes that she had learned to cook from her mother, with the few ingredients that were available. The evaluation of this restaurant is therefore partly skewed by my memories!
