On Friday night, I had the chance to visit Minato, a sushi restaurant highly regarded as the number one in Asahikawa.The interior features a counter and private rooms, and I was guided to a private room this time.Surprisingly, the restaurant was spacious with several private rooms available.I made a reservation about three days prior to my visit.All the small dishes were delicious, but the quail eggs and yam chawanmushi were particularly outstanding!They had a wonderfully fresh taste, rich and flavorful.The sushi, including shrimp, ikura, and other exquisite nigiri, was exceptional.The shrimp had a firm, juicy texture with a concentrated sweetness that you can only find here.I opted for the JPY 12,000 course this time, but I would like to try the JPY 18,000 course next time.I ordered Japanese sake from Kamikawa Taisetsu and a few others.You can choose your favorite glass from several colorful options, adding a stylish touch to the experience.I will definitely return!I recommend it to both locals and tourists!Reservations seem essential.Give it a try!
