I visited this popular restaurant for a date, nestled in the calm streets of Kamakura. Being a high-end establishment, I felt a bit nervous at first, but those worries vanished as soon as I was seated. This time, I enjoyed the seasonal course. Starting with corn, the meal featured seafood from Sagami Bay, drunken shrimp, Tanba Kōsaka chicken, shark fin, yurin fish, spare ribs, dan dan noodles, and dessert. Each dish showcased the seasonality and charm of the ingredients. While based on Chinese culinary techniques, each item was delicately and elegantly prepared, keeping me engaged until the very end. What stood out the most was the service from the staff. High-end restaurants can sometimes feel intimidating, but here, the staff was both attentive and friendly, maintaining a comfortable distance that allowed me to relax completely. Their explanations of the dishes were clear, and the warm atmosphere of the restaurant left a lasting impression.Additionally, the thoughtful gesture of timely replacing my oshibori with a fresh one was remarkable. Such small acts of kindness contributed to a pleasant experience. The katsu sandwich I purchased as a souvenir on my way out was also delicious, allowing me to savor the restaurant's essence at home. This place offered a high level of satisfaction, not just in the food but also in the service and ambiance. I confidently recommend it for special occasions or meals with loved ones. I look forward to trying a different course when the seasons change.
