Tabelog 2026 Silver, a highly acclaimed Japanese restaurant that is considered the best in Kanagawa.Chef Yasunori Kitajima, who honed his skills for 16 years at "Wakuden" in Kyoto, offers a new style of Japanese cuisine that fuses two cities. The restaurant, housed in a beautifully restored traditional house over 60 years old, was designed by architect Tohru Kijima from Kyoto. Here’s the course I ordered:◾︎Omakase Course JPY 36,000The course includes the following:- Chilled Edamame Chawanmushi- Pork Kakuni with Kashiwa Mochi-style Shinjo and Tamami Miso- Sliced Mako Sole Sashimi- Fatty and Lean Tuna from Sagami Bay- Mugwort Tofu with Abalone Soup- Grilled Bream with Sansho and Tiger Bamboo Shoots- Tempura Octopus from Sajima- Clams with Fresh Asparagus- Simmered Dish with Eel, Winter Melon, New Onion, and Soft-Shelled Turtle Broth- Aji (Horse Mackerel) Sushi- Tuna Zuke Donburi- Mink Whale Ramen- Grilled Green Onion and New Ginger Rice- Hayama Wasabi Zosui (Rice Soup)- Mango and Yuzu Sorbet- Birthday Cake Sharing- Japanese Sweets with Blueberry, Egg Yolk, and Burdock- Matcha- Umeshu Soda- Black HojichaAmong the dishes in this course, the tuna was particularly exceptional, as noted by my regular dining companions. Due to the high-quality tuna from Sagami Bay, the fatty and lean tuna were served after the Mako Sole sashimi. The temperature-controlled toro was so delicate that it fell apart when picked up with chopsticks, as if testing its melting point.A standout feature here is the generous portion sizes for the finishing dishes. On this day, there were five options available, all of which could be ordered in different sizes. I chose the L size for the sushi and M sizes for the other four dishes. Not only were the portions impressive, but the flavors were also exquisite. A perfect five stars without any complaints. It was a great meal!
