This soba restaurant has received accolades like the "100 Famous Restaurants" and bronze awards! I arrived on a weekday at 12:30, but it was fully booked, so I was asked to wait outside. After about 5 to 10 minutes, instead of being seated, I was directed to a waiting area. Since the waiting area is next to the restaurant and on the first floor, it can feel more crowded than expected. I finally entered around 1:00 PM.It seems that orders are taken in the order of arrival, so I had to wait again to place my order. After a while, I finally ordered the "Coarse Soba." I had initially planned to order the tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette), but I was informed that those who arrived before me were waiting quite a while for it, so I decided to just stick with the soba. However, I was pleasantly surprised when they mentioned that if I ordered a half portion of the tamagoyaki, it could be served quickly, so I gratefully placed that order as well. But it took a long time to arrive… haha. Just how long is "a long time"? It seems they prioritize serving other dishes before the soba, and time passed with nothing on my table… I wouldn’t have minded if the tamagoyaki came later. I hadn’t planned to order it anyway. Just as I was thinking that, the omelette finally arrived! It took about 10 to 15 minutes in total.Regaining my composure, I took my chopsticks to the omelette, and the dashi (broth) burst out! ✨ When I tasted it, it was so creamy…! I can see why it’s so popular! I usually prefer to eat dashi-maki tamago plain, but this one truly doesn’t need soy sauce or grated daikon. The satisfaction was immense! ✨I devoured it in no time, so I had to wait a bit longer. And finally, the soba made its appearance! True to its name, the coarse soba looked rough and unlike any soba I had seen before, which got me excited! ✨ The aroma was delightful, and I could really taste the essence of the soba—wonderful! ◎ However, the portion was extremely small…! It felt quite empty. Haha. At JPY 1,200, I can’t eat multiple servings, so I wonder how others manage. Haha. The cost-performance isn’t great, and the service could improve, so I’m not sure if I’d want to go back, but the taste is definitely reliable.
