A long-established motsuyaki restaurant in Shinjuku. This time, I ordered the "Top 5 Dishes Course." The first dish was liver, thickly sliced and rich in flavor. What stood out the most was the top shiro, which had a sweet fat flavor without any unpleasant odor, and a soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture. The tsukune, made from a mix of chicken, pork, and beef, was also delicious, with a rich meat flavor and a fluffy texture. Additionally, there were mixed skewers including shiro, the restaurant's famous stuffed green peppers, and beef skewers. The stuffed green peppers were generously filled with meat, and the combination of the pepper's aroma and the meat's fat was excellent. Overall, each skewer was substantial, providing a high level of satisfaction as motsuyaki. On the downside, the wait time for the dishes was a bit long, and the restaurant was quite lively, making it difficult to enjoy a calm dining experience. I also noticed small insects a few times, which was somewhat concerning. If I were to rate just the food, I would give it a 4.0. The top shiro and tsukune were particularly good, but considering the service pace and the restaurant environment, my overall rating is 3.9.
