During my last visit, I was deeply impressed by the flavors, ambiance, and the refined service from the staff, so I was eagerly looking forward to returning. The rice at Sushi Sakai has a firm and robust flavor, which may not be to everyone's taste, but I absolutely love this punchy rice. It pairs exceptionally well with fatty toppings. This time, the kohada was perfectly sized, almost like shinko, and the flesh was incredibly tender—simply the best. The ankimo (monkfish liver) I ordered as an extra was also exquisite, and I found myself enjoying drinks a bit too much during lunch (laughs).I can't wait for my next visit!
