Just a 5-minute walk from Urawa Station, this unagi restaurant has received a bronze award and is listed among the top 100 eateries. Located in a residential area, the restaurant opens at 11:00, and I arrived 10 minutes early, only to find myself 11th in line for outdoor seating. The inside was already fully booked, so it's best to arrive early, even on a weekday. While waiting, the delightful aroma of grilled unagi wafted through the air.After a 45-minute wait, I was finally seated!Today's order:- Shinko Unajyu (from Mikawa, Ehime) ¥6600- Kimo-sui (liver soup) ¥330Upon opening the lid, a fragrant aroma greeted me. The unagi was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with a sauce that was just the right balance—not too thick, and elegantly sweet. The harmony with the rice was perfect, and before I knew it, I was nodding in silence as I enjoyed each bite. This place truly feels like a must-visit for unagi lovers.The kimo-sui had generous pieces of liver, was refreshing, and delicious—definitely a boost of energy! Having returned after a while, this restaurant has climbed high on my list of favorite unagi spots. It was a luxurious lunch, and I definitely want to come back—no, I will come back! It was a wonderful meal! I will be returning for sure.
