I finally visited Wafu Motsu Ryori Arata, a place I had been wanting to try. With only 12 seats and two seatings, the waiting system is a bit tricky, so it seems like you have to rely on regulars. In the end, I waited about 1 hour and 45 minutes to get in for the second seating. The menu is available, but I ordered the basic course. Here’s what I had:◎ Japanese-style Motsu Nikomi A base of simmered offal. It was tender and delicious. I ended up ordering more towards the end.○ Tongue Stew ◎ Chire Sashimi The meat itself didn’t have much flavor, but it was enjoyable for its unique texture.◎ Mino Yubiki Raw dish called Yubiki. It had a chewy texture and was quite satisfying. This might have been the best dish.◎ Neck Smoke It felt like soft roast beef.○ Grilled Skewers (Tongue) ◎ Raw Senmai Sashimi of senmai, often seen in yakiniku restaurants. It paired well with sesame sauce and sesame oil, making it delicious.○ Grilled Skewers (Heart) ○ Call Tan ◎ Heart Tataki Raw dish called Tataki. This had a strong meaty flavor and was delicious.○ Tail Stew ○ Fuku Teriyaki Apparently, this is beef lung.○ Tail Zosui (additional) A light and subtly flavored rice porridge.◎ Japanese-style Motsu Nikomi (additional) (Drinks) Ginger Ale x2 Oolong Tea x1 I felt that every small dish was delicious, and the overall quality of the restaurant was excellent. The rare Horumon sashimi was particularly good, with almost no odor. It was a pleasant atmosphere throughout, and I had a great time. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.As of September 29, 2026 Rating: 4.02 Tabelog Award Bronze 25, 26 2nd place in Osaka (Beef Cuisine) 7th place nationwide (Beef Cuisine) 1st place in Yodogawa Ward (Overall)
