I was recommended this place, L’Ermita, by a food enthusiast who is well-versed in delicious cuisine from Hiroshima and other regions, saying, "They have amazing Spanish food!" What a stroke of luck it was to hear that they relocated from Hiroshima to Fukuoka, and I had been looking for an opportunity to visit ever since. If you head from Tenjin, cross Ohori Park, turn left at the Kuromonbashi intersection, and take a right just before Honganji, you’ll find the entrance to the second floor of a building up the outdoor stairs.Inside, you’ll find lovely decor and pleasant background music. The first dish, "Citrus Espuma with Sweet Shrimp," features an unexpected combination that raises my expectations.Next is the "Steamed White Corn"—the cream sauce paired with salt and herbs is outstanding! The "Melon Gazpacho" completely overturns my previous concept of gazpacho. From the very beginning, I’m impressed by the creativity and free-spirited approach of the chef. The theme is mountains and sea. Then comes the "Oven-Baked Octopus and Pork."The "Aso Hōrō Chicken" was incredibly moist and tender, simply the best.Madame’s extensive wine knowledge and her delightful smile are also exceptional. To think that such an elaborate course is only JPY 22,000! I want to go back—no, I want to go back immediately!
