I visited this Tokyo French restaurant for the first time on a Sunday lunch, as part of the top 100 restaurants list. This place surprised me with many delightful experiences.I made a reservation for the JPY 8800 lunch course for one person through Tabelog. The interior, located underground, isn't very spacious, but it's decorated with various stylish objects, creating a chic atmosphere. There are four counter seats, and I sat there. Later, another solo diner joined me, which was a nice touch. The heat in the city was unbearable, and I felt I might faint from the wine, so we toasted with draft beer instead. The meal started with a macaron made with venison blood, which had no unpleasant odor at all. Next was a corn potage topped with lemon foam. The salad with sea bream and rice was mixed with yuzu and hinoki broth. Then came the pie with game meat and foie gras, which I believe is one of their specialties. It was a delightful experience to savor the rich flavors of the ingredients. The next dish was a pike conger pie, which they allowed me to photograph before cutting. This pie was delicious, layered with various seafood, adding depth to the flavor. For the main course, I had roasted Ezo venison, which was surprisingly tender and had no gamey taste. The red wine sauce was rich and deep.Dessert featured a refreshing sorbet and jelly inspired by mojito flavors. I was told the financier used boar fat, but I couldn't taste it at all.Overall, I felt the menu was innovative, combining various game meats with seafood and vegetables. The price was reasonable, the staff provided pleasant service, and I could feel the thoughtful care of the owner-chef. It was a wonderful restaurant.
