When it comes to yakitori in Ashiya, I had always wanted to visit "Eragon." The interior has a calm atmosphere, and it's nice to enjoy the view of the grill from the counter. From the very first dish, you can feel the attention to detail, leading up to the yakitori. What stood out to me were the chicken breast and negima (chicken and green onion skewers). Despite being thoroughly cooked, they were surprisingly moist, allowing the rich flavor of the chicken to shine through. The balance of the smoky aroma from the charcoal and the sweetness of the chicken fat was excellent, showcasing the skill involved in such simple yakitori. Each skewer, whether it was the gizzards, chicken neck, or the tender meat, had distinct textures and flavors, making each bite enjoyable. And the clay pot rice and chicken white soup to finish off were delicious as well. The entire course allowed me to savor the essence of chicken until the very end, leaving me highly satisfied. It felt more like a place to enjoy how to eat chicken deliciously rather than just eating yakitori. From the grilling techniques to the ingredients and the arrangement of the dishes, it's clear why this place is so popular. If I have the chance to visit Ashiya again, I would definitely want to come back. It was a great meal.
