I had been wanting to visit "Sumibi Yaki Yuji" for a long time. Reservations can be made starting on the first of the month prior, so for July, they start accepting bookings on June 1st. I called two months in advance without knowing this and found out I couldn't make a reservation yet (laughs). On the day of my visit, those with reservations lined up in front of the restaurant, and they were seated in the order they arrived. The interior features both counter and table seating, and we were seated at the table closest to the entrance. The menu was presented in a well-used file, giving it a charming touch. There was only one set of dishes and drinks, and it was quite enjoyable to pass the menu around from the end of the table.I was a bit nervous, but the staff were very kind and patiently answered all my questions. The appetizer was edamame. What really impressed me were the heart sashimi and the liver. I usually don't like liver that much, but this was so delicious that I became completely hooked. I realized how amazing good liver can be. The heart sashimi paired perfectly with the drinks! I'm usually worried about eating raw food, but this time I enjoyed it without any issues until the end.Every piece of meat was incredibly delicious, and I couldn't stop eating the rice and drinking. The restaurant was quite smoky, and my eyes started to hurt after a while, but aside from leaving smelling like charcoal, everything was fantastic. This might be the best yakiniku I've ever had in my life.
