I finally had the long-awaited opportunity to visit Yakitori Taniguchi. I was invited to join!I experienced a level of deliciousness that completely changed my perception of yakitori.The skewers grilled to perfection right in front of me by the chef were all top-notch! Especially the "Negima"—the skin was surprisingly crispy and fragrant, and the moment I bit into the tender meat, a delicate and rich umami flavor burst forth, leaving me speechless. The liver and tsukune were also incredibly creamy with no off-putting taste whatsoever.What further enhances the exquisite flavor of these yakitori is the wonderful selection of Japanese sake. When I left it up to the chef, he suggested the perfect sake to match the richness and seasoning of the skewers, ranging from crisp and dry to rich and flavorful, all at the ideal moment.The juicy umami of the yakitori was beautifully complemented by the refreshing sake, creating an endless loop of deliciousness with each bite. I found myself enjoying the drinks a bit too much!The chef's friendly and warm hospitality made the experience even more pleasant, and I had a fantastic time in the clean and open space until the very end.
