I visited Yamasei, located near Matsumoto Castle. The interior, renovated from a traditional house, features a modern Japanese style, and through the glass, there’s a courtyard that looks like a painting. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming, and the dishes we enjoyed were truly exquisite. The eel was perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior, showcasing the quality of the ingredients through its thickness and delicate fat. Even for those of us who prefer the Kansai style, the texture of the skin was not an issue, and we found it delicious. The staff provided attentive and pleasant service, making it a delightful restaurant where we felt a sense of quality in everything. It was a great meal!
