I visited around 9:30 on Saturday. There were about six groups ahead of me waiting. I was seated around 9:45 and patiently enjoyed some tea while waiting. By around 11:20, my unadon (grilled eel rice bowl) arrived. It was perfectly grilled on the outside and fluffy on the inside—absolutely delicious! It ranks among the top three eels I've ever had! The grilled liver was already sold out, so if you really want to try it, it seems you need to line up earlier. I plan to stop by again the next time I visit Matsumoto! I also saw fish swimming in the ditch outside.
