I visited on a weekday (Thursday) just after 10:30 AM, and there were already 8 people waiting...The opening was moved up to 10:50 AM (thank you!).Today’s unagi is from Mikawa, Aichi Prefecture.Unagi Jyu for JPY 6,600, tax included.The unagi-themed teacup is adorable.(There’s a statue at the Urawa West Exit rotary.)After waiting a little over 20 minutes inside the restaurant, I noticed many Tabelog awards and signatures from famous people on the walls.My expectations were at an all-time high!Finally, it arrived.The staff said, "Our unagi has a wonderful aroma and no unpleasant smell, so please enjoy it without sansho (Japanese pepper) at first."Here we go.The texture was fluffy, and the aroma was delightful, with perfect grilling.However, I felt it was slightly lacking...Once I added sansho, it was complete! (laughs)As someone who values cost-performance, considering factors like cash-only payment, quality, and location, I’m sorry to say that I can’t give it a higher score.*I apologize for being a bit cheeky; this is just my personal opinion.
