I returned to Tokuha Motonari for the first time in a few months since my last visit during the bamboo shoot season. To sum it up, I had an incredibly satisfying and happy experience once again.【Visit Details】Michelin 2026 ⭐︎Gault & Millau 2026 3 Tocks (16 points)Tabelog Gold 2026 (4.50)Tabelog Japanese Cuisine Kyoto Ranking 5th (4.50)【What I Ordered】 (Tax Included)■ Omakase Course (Dinner) JPY 33,000One drink and 1.5 go of Japanese sake, totaling JPY 36,465.The dishes were incredibly elaborate and wonderful, showcasing simplicity in appearance while being creatively crafted. Looking back at the photos, every dish left a lasting impression. Among them, the Dadacha Edamame puree, eggplant somen, abalone, conger eel, Ayu from the upper Katsura River, and the final meal, chilled zenzai, were particularly memorable. Additionally, I was treated to four different preparations of conger eel (plus one rice dish), which was a luxurious experience.Seated near the grill, I enjoyed the lively atmosphere with conger eel, ayu, hatahata, and eel being prepared right in front of me.Moreover, the owner, the proprietress, and the apprentices were attentive, making for a very comfortable environment. The interior decor was also splendid.I look forward to visiting again in a different season. It was a great meal.(Total time spent was about 4 hours.)
