I visited this restaurant in the Shibuya and Omotesando area for lunch, where you can enjoy venison at relatively affordable prices. The dishes offered were all unified around the theme of wild game, showcasing the bounty of the mountains. Starting with an amuse-bouche of macarons made with deer blood instead of egg whites, I was impressed by the consistency of the restaurant's concept. I was also delighted that the chef came to greet us, despite being a small party. My favorite dish was the Sea Bream Rice Salad, which was delicious when enjoyed like ochazuke (rice with tea). It was wonderful to experience different flavors depending on how you ate it. The sea bream was cured with kombu, and the attention to detail was remarkable. It had a rich aroma, and the fusion with French cuisine was delightful. Another highlight was the drink called Hinoki no Shizuku. On its own, it felt like a refreshing mocktail, but it paired beautifully with the venison pâté en croûte and leg steak. The hinoki (cypress) aroma perfectly reset the wild flavors of the venison, making it feel light and not heavy at all. This experience deepened my respect for the life that is given to us through food. Thank you very much.
