Located in Soshigaya-Okura, Tokyo, Fiocchi is a renowned Italian restaurant featured in the "Tokyo's Top 100 Italian Restaurants." Established in 2000, it specializes in traditional dishes from the Piedmont region. This restaurant has also earned a bronze rating on Tabelog. The owner-chef trained in Piedmont, Italy, the birthplace of Slow Food, before returning to Japan to open this establishment. I visited on a Saturday at noon with a reservation for one. On that day, there were three guests at the counter. The omakase course began simultaneously for all guests, marking the start of a full-course lunch. The classical flavors of regional cuisine are enhanced by delicate modern touches, offering layers of rich taste. Seasonal, carefully selected ingredients are beautifully presented, creating a stunning visual art. The glass wines are elegant and luxurious, perfectly paired with the dishes. I enjoyed a graceful lunch experience. It was a great meal.
