I had wanted to visit this famous restaurant for a long time, and finally made a reservation to celebrate my birthday. They offer two course options: JPY 16,000 (lunch only) and JPY 28,000, with the possibility of upgrading the main dish. Please note that a 12% service charge is added separately.I enjoyed the JPY 16,000 course paired with champagne and wine.Appetizers (2 types): One dish featured cheese, and the other was a liver pâté brioche—both were exquisite.Soup: A sweet and delicious corn soup.Fish dish: The skin of the sweet sea bream was crispy and truly delicious. The fluffy mousse wrapped in zucchini was also delightful and impressive.Meat dish: It was a young pigeon, but be careful as it’s quite different from chicken. This was a hearty meat dish! The crispy leg was also very tasty.Desserts (2 types) and petit fours: Ice cream served with a rice-based sauce, a peach dessert, and a pineapple petit four—everything was delicious, and I was quite full by this point, but I enjoyed every last bite of the petit fours.Coffee and other beverages: The post-meal drinks were noteworthy. They offered matcha, a chocolate drink similar to cocoa, and herbal teas. After some deliberation, I chose the peach and mint herbal tea, which was served in a pot, allowing me to savor it slowly. Before dessert, there was a special celebration moment with a message plate and a floral base, which made me very happy! Each dish, along with the wine, was explained in detail, showcasing the excellence of L'ecrin. The warmth of the staff, including the sommelier, made my first visit comfortable and enjoyable from start to finish without any tension.Since the seating is limited, I recommend making an early reservation for special occasions. Many other tables were also celebrating special events.
