This popular restaurant opens at 5 PM. I arrived at 4 PM and was the fifth in line. By 4:40 PM, the first seating was full, and those arriving after 7 PM looked disappointed as they had to turn away. While reservations are convenient, waiting in line has its own reliability. The interior is small but has a friendly and warm atmosphere. I ordered the omakase (chef's choice). The first dish, the simmered offal, was truly delicious. There was no unpleasant odor, and it was unlike anything I had eaten before. Other small plates kept coming out, including a tail stew and what I believe was chiles. These were absolutely exquisite. The prices are reasonable, which explains the popularity.I found myself wanting to recommend this place to someone.
