I visited Gessen located in Kitahama. Each dish was highly refined, showcasing a creative twist on traditional Chinese cuisine. From the appetizers, my expectations were elevated, and I was particularly impressed by the perfect cooking of the meat and seafood dishes. The tender texture allowed the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine, and the balance with the rich sauces was remarkable. One dish featuring spiny lobster was not only visually striking but also delicious, bringing a smile to my face. The fish dish was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The vegetable dishes were carefully prepared, highlighting the quality of the ingredients in a simple yet effective way. Even the fried rice and noodle dishes at the end were excellent, making for a satisfying course from start to finish. The beautiful presentation and plating added to the excitement with each dish that arrived. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, making it an appealing place to enjoy a meal.
