Sushi Matsuura offers a delightful experience even before the main sushi course begins, with each dish carefully crafted to please. One of my favorites was the anko (monkfish liver) roll paired with "Tamagawa Time Machine Reserved 2021BY". The rich flavor of the anko complemented the slightly sweet Japanese sake perfectly, making it quite addictive. The Arima stew was simmered to perfection, so tender that the bones easily fell apart, showcasing the chef's dedication to the cooking process.Once we moved on to the nigiri, each piece was made with great care, using fresh ingredients sourced from various regions across Japan. It's rare to find such quality from appetizers to nigiri at this price point. The delicious food naturally encouraged us to enjoy more drinks. I appreciated that each time I ordered sake, it was served in a different ochoko (sake cup), reflecting the attention to detail. For someone like me who enjoys a hearty meal and good drinks, this sushi restaurant truly exceeded my expectations.
