I took my best friend and their spouse, who came from Tokyo, to visit the Imperial Palace, and we found this wonderful restaurant nearby. From the moment we received the warm towels and barley tea, I felt the thoughtful hospitality. We enjoyed the lunch course in the middle of the menu, which featured an impressive 10 dishes. The absence of a menu explanation actually conveyed the chef's intentions, making it feel like a conversation. The grilled mackerel with soy sauce marinade, eggplant sesame tofu, tempura squid, and kudzu noodles were exceptional. The delicate rice porridge was the pinnacle of refinement, and we thoroughly enjoyed the sweets and matcha as well. This is a must-visit gem that I will definitely return to.
