I had the Unagi Jyu and Shirayaki.I was a bit nervous about the wait, but maybe because it was a scorching hot day, I was seated right away even during lunch hours! However, there were a lot of chairs lined up in front of the restaurant, and I thought to myself, "Do people usually wait this long?" as I made my way to the entrance! Haha.I tried half of each menu item, and the Unagi Jyu was light and delicious! The seasoning was not overpowering at all! Although I was advised not to add sansho pepper, I sprinkled a little on my last bite, and it was tasty! Usually, I can't finish a whole serving and need my husband to help, but I felt like I could eat a full portion this time!The Shirayaki was also refreshing with ginger soy sauce! It didn't have any unpleasant smell! The rice was delicious too!This was my first time trying Unagi Jyu in the famous Urawa area, and I was very satisfied! While I want to come back, I also want to compare it with other restaurants! Since the price range is different, I plan to check out some cheaper places to see how they measure up!
