I visited Tamawarai, located between Shibuya and Harajuku. I had been drawn to its high ratings for a while, and I finally made it there. I arrived before noon and was the 12th in line, which really showed how popular this place is.There are waiting areas on both the first and second floors, and after waiting just over an hour, I was seated. I ordered soba, sobakiri (soba dumplings), and the famous tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette). The soba was aromatic and had a wonderful texture—truly exquisite. It was my first time trying sobakiri, and it paired perfectly with soy sauce. The tamagoyaki was soaked in dashi and I finished it in no time.A couple of things to note: the owner seems to be cooking alone, so it takes a bit of time for the dishes to be served, and they only accept cash for payment! Considering the wait and serving times, it's best to plan for over two hours at this popular spot!
