This was my first visit to Kotan. The restaurant is quietly nestled in a residential area of Sakurazaka, and I hesitated a bit to enter since there was no sign or name displayed. The interior is slightly dim, reminiscent of the renowned restaurant Chikamatsu in Yakuin, and the decor is well-crafted, giving it a sense of luxury. Several appetizers were served at the beginning, each showcasing innovative and fresh flavors. The sushi was slightly larger than usual, with each piece having a unique and carefully crafted taste that was delicious. Overall, the experience was quite impactful. Everything was delightful, and I definitely want to return.
