I visited Kitanozaka Kinoshita for the second time! This time, I was lucky enough to secure a reservation for lunch, allowing me to indulge in a full-course meal during the day (*´艸`*). Seasonal ingredients like corn, Kamo eggplant, and eel (which surprisingly blended a Japanese flavor with a strong Italian mood) danced on the plate, as a multitude of dishes came out in rapid succession—truly impressive! ☆彡 Starting with smoked caviar and champagne to whet my appetite, the summer ingredients like corn, surf clam, and red sea urchin paired perfectly with the wine, creating an exquisite taste. Next came the creamy Kamo eggplant, a generous serving of simple hairy crab, abalone with a Japanese twist, and the aforementioned eel, followed by a pasta bursting with the sweetness of tomatoes and seafood. Finally, the restaurant's signature dish, Chateaubriand, made its grand entrance! Savoring the meat's umami with just simple salt and condiments, and biting into the sweet, fruity bell pepper was pure bliss (*´∀`*). The risotto made with the rich flavor of Akashi octopus and the special cheesecake paired with refreshing pineapple and basil completed the course, leaving both my stomach and heart fully satisfied (´・ω・`). The wines were thoughtfully selected to match each dish, and the inclusion of Japanese sake by the knowledgeable sommelier was a delightful touch that I truly appreciated (*´ェ`*). Once again, I had a wonderful experience that makes me want to return many times. I am grateful to the staff for their hospitality!
