I had been wanting to visit "Ji-Cube" for a long time, and finally went there for dinner!✨Nestled quietly in a residential area of Nishiazabu, the exterior resembles a simple square house. Walking through the gate and along the garden path to the entrance already made me feel special!"Ji-Cube" is known for its concept of "preserving the traditional aromas and deep flavors of Sichuan cuisine while highlighting seasonal ingredients with a Japanese sensibility," which heightened my expectations for the meal!✨This time, I reserved a private room, and the room on the second floor was beautifully decorated and had a calm, pleasant atmosphere! The spacious sofa seating was comfortable, allowing me to enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace. There is also a counter seating area on the first floor, which I would love to try next time! What I ordered was the 【Shark Fin Course】 (JPY 26,400).◾️Marinated Tuna in Shaoxing Wine The aroma of Shaoxing wine was subtly present, complemented by the richness of soy sauce and a hint of spiciness! The tuna was moist, and it really whetted my appetite from the very first appetizer!◾️Sichuan Specialty: Dandan Chicken The rich aroma of spices typical of Sichuan cuisine was delightful, with a deep flavor enhanced by sesame! It had a solid spiciness, but the balance with the umami was exquisite!✨◾️Braised Shark Fin This was the dish I was most looking forward to!✨ It was slowly braised in a sauce made from blue crab, which was packed with crab flavor! The thick shark fin had a texture that unraveled with each bite, delivering deliciousness with every chew! Shark fin is truly delicious!Adding the red vinegar provided a tangy kick, enhancing the flavor of the sauce! I appreciated the creativity in offering different tastes within one dish!◾️Wagyu Beef with Stir-Fried Peppers This was a stir-fry made with Yamagata beef, cooked sous-vide! The meat was surprisingly tender and full of flavor, pairing wonderfully with the texture of the bell peppers, making it a luxurious version of the usual stir-fried peppers!◾️Peking Duck The filling was made with smoked duck, releasing a delightful aroma. The skin was crispy and light, providing a satisfying bite despite its small size!◾️Scallops in Chili Sauce The scallops were cooked to perfection, resulting in a very tender texture! The chili sauce offered not just spiciness but also sweetness and depth, enhancing the natural sweetness of the scallops!◾️Steamed Fresh Fish That day, it was flounder. The fish was steamed to fluffy perfection, with a very tender and moist texture! It paired excellently with the sauce, allowing me to fully enjoy the deliciousness of the ingredients!✨◾️Noodle Dish: Dandan Noodles The finale was dandan noodles! The sesame richness was prominent but not overwhelming, with just the right amount of spiciness as an accent! The harmony between the soup and noodles was great, making it delicious until the very end! The portion size was just right!◾️Dessert: Pudding It had a smooth texture, providing a pleasant conclusion to the meal! The food was, of course, amazing, but the service from the staff was also wonderful!✨ They not only provided detailed explanations but also engaged in humorous conversations, allowing me to relax and enjoy my meal throughout! With a sense of luxury but without being stiff, the atmosphere was delightful. I had been curious about this restaurant for a while, and it exceeded my expectations! Each dish left a lasting impression, showcasing the tradition of Sichuan cuisine while carefully highlighting seasonal ingredients with a Japanese touch!
